Scruffs Château dog mattress in Dove is part of our Memory series of orthopaedic dog beds, which are ideally suited to older dogs, larger breeds or pets that require more support for their joints, back or body. The beds are filled with crumb memory foam, these dense particles mould to the dogs shape, achieving an ultimate level of support. 


The Château is covered in a luxury short-pile plush top cover with faux leather side walls. An inner water resistant liner helps protect the beds memory fill against the ingress of water and odour.

These beds are available in two sizes, 100 x 70 cm with a memory crumb fill weighing 5.5kg and 120 x 75 cm with a memory crumb fill weighing 8.2kg.

Before ordering please ensure your chosen size is right for your dog.

Sizes:

Medium:     L 100 cm x D 70 cm
Large:          L 120 cm x D 75 cm

The outer cover can be removed for machine washing and has a non-slip base. The cover only is machine washable on a gentle 30 degree wash, only using a mild detergent. Do not bleach or tumble dry.

The memory foam is a memory foam crumb not a solid pad. Whilst the crumb is better for supporting your dog's body as it is moulds to the shape and provides additional support, it can be susceptible to swell in places. This can often be caused by changes in temperatures. The crumb will settle over time and with use so please be patient with this.

Thank you for your review, we are sorry to hear that your dog cannot yet use the bed. As shared in the description, these beds after being vacuum packed sometimes can swell, particularly in the heat (that we are experiencing this week!). If you allow the bed to settle and weight it down a little it will be back to the size we share on the site.

If you allow the bed to settle and weight it down a little to remove this excess air this will allow it to reduce back down in size. I hope this helps your dog enjoy their bed.
